Call of Duty Kicks Off Double XP Event for MW3 and Warzone

Double XP is available for a longer but limited time in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. Through the end of Season 3, players who want to level up in Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 will get double the amount of experience points.

Recently, Season 4 and the newest Call of Duty game, Black Ops 6, were officially announced. This new development comes soon after.

Although no new information has been released, a Black Ops 6 Direct is set to happen on June 9 after the Xbox Games Showcase.

This is being written during the Call of Duty Double XP period, which will end on June 3 at 10 am PST. Players will be able to boost their online level until Season 3 ends on May 29 and then start moving up the prestige ladder right away with the start of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 4.

On May 30 through June 3, people who don’t own Modern Warfare 3 can play the Multiplayer and Zombies modes for free.

The official Call of Duty blog says that Season 4 will bring Big Content Updates to Modern Warfare 3’s Multiplayer Modes, Including Zombies.

Upcoming updates for Modern Warfare will include new maps, weapons, and game modes that will require players to change how they play in order to excel.

New versions of Warzone mostly affect the Urzikstan map, where players will find activity near some bunkers and new ways to escape and win. In order to revitalise the Battle Royale mode, players will also find new content in Warzone.

Additionally, players will find new vehicle types, game modes, and even Gulag layouts. Additionally, the Mobile Suit Gundam bundle packs and skins are coming to Call of Duty.

These will let players enter battle wearing different mechs from the Gundam series.

Black Ops 6 Tie-Ins Possible, Unclear

There aren’t many details about Black Ops 6, so it’s not clear if some of the updates set up the story or in any way tie it in.

As the season goes on, the blog post warns players that “[REDACTED]” levels will rise in some modes as they get “one step closer to the truth.”

The tagline for Black Ops 6 right now is “The Truth Lies,” which fits with the word choice in the blog post as well as the extensive use of “[[REDACTED]]” throughout.

A mysterious campaign to promote the game is already under way, but there are still no clear links between it and Warzone or Modern Warfare 3.
