Zelda: Lost Woods is a side area of Breath of the Wild that takes you to the Korok Forest which houses some important NPCs and artifacts you should not miss out on.
Besides being the place of trade for your obtained or bought Korok seeds, the above village also hosts the Master Sword, the most legendary sword in Zelda series history.
You have to go through the Lost Woods, which is a confusing forest, and you’ll lose your way in here – unless you have a map or the way, which we do.
1. How to Find the Entrance to the Lost Woods
To get to Korok Forest you need to find the Lost Woods in the upper left part of the Great Hyrule Forest. Follow these steps to reach the entrance:
Head North from Woodland Tower
Touch the button near the Woodland Tower to bring on the map. The second place can be found in the northeast of the kingdom, near Hyrule Castle, so go that way.
Follow the Path from Woodland Stable
After visiting the Woodland Stable, fans of the game can try to take the road that goes deeper into the Lost Woods. Ensure that you purchase items before entering because the following path may not be easy.
Look for the Large Tree Gates
For example, the entrance to the main part of the park has three gates, and the park is very foggy. These are the clues that tell you that you are set in the right spot.
2. Navigating the Lost Woods
Whenever you get to the Lost Woods, you might get lost because of the fog that covers that part of the game. If a player gets lost, the fog will become thick and put him back to the starting point of the entrance.
Follow the Lanterns
The most significant guidance while proceeding through the Lost Woods is the lighting that is placed between them. They will only show you the way in the fog.
Pay Attention to the Wind
As you progress, the wind will start to blow through the forest, causing the embers from the lanterns to move. Follow the direction of the embers to avoid getting lost.
Stay on the Path
Resist the temptation to wander off and explore. The Lost Woods is designed to punish those who stray by whisking them back to the entrance.
3. Reaching Korok Forest
If you follow the correct path through the Lost Woods, you’ll eventually reach Korok Forest, which is the center of the Great Hyrule Forest. Here’s what you’ll find when you arrive:
The Korok Village
As soon as you enter, you’ll notice the Koroks, the small tree-like creatures that inhabit the forest. They’ll be scattered around, and you’ll meet their leader, the Great Deku Tree.
The Master Sword
In the center of the geography of this area, there is a Master Sword – the legendary sword that belongs only to the chosen one. But to rip it from its pedestal, one must have at least thirteen heart containers.
Shrines and Quests
A few Shrines found within Korok Forest can reward you if you complete them for Spirit Orbs. Furthermore, you can complete some sort of missions tied to the Koroks, such as regarding expanding your inventory space.
Tips for Exploring Korok Forest
Upgrade Inventory with Hestu
There is one interesting NPC, which is a huge Korok named Hestu, who increases the size of the inventory. After getting the Korok Seeds make it a point you visit him to upgrade your weapon, shield, and bow slots.
Save Before Entering
The Lost Woods can make you get lost so easily thus, it is wise to activate the save option before you go in.
