In Yu-Gi-Oh!, you don’t want to get hit by a Virus.
Most Virus cards have strong effects that hit you once and stay with you for a few turns, making it hard to get back on your feet.
Because these cards are so good, they can win games by themselves. But you should also be aware of the risks.

Well, in this list, I’ll show you the best cards in the game that have something to do with viruses.
7. Tribe-Infecting Virus
First on our list is a card that won’t do much against a strong deck (it might even help them!)
But it can beat less skilled opponents and shows what Virus cards can do.
Tribe-Infecting Virus is an LVL4 Monster with 1600 ATK and 1000 DEF. It also lets you throw away a card, name a type of monster, and kill every face-up monster of that type.
It sounds like a good idea.
But these days, a lot of decks use the Graveyard as a resource and like it when their monsters are there.
Some monsters also cause things to happen when they die. Tribe-Infecting Virus will cause all of those things to happen.
This card can be great, but it can also give the victory to your opponent.
If you want to use this card, you should do so carefully.
6. Crush Card Virus
In the TV series, this well-known card was in Seto Kaiba’s deck.
Even though it’s not as good as some of the other cards on this list, it can still be a tough opponent.
Card Crush Virus needs to be paid for with a DARK monster with 1000 or less ATK. And when you play this card, your opponent doesn’t take any damage until the end of your next turn.
But this lets you see your opponent’s hand and all of the cards they control. Then, every monster with more than 1500ATK is killed.
The problem is that your opponent can then kill up to three monsters in their decks that have more than 1500ATK. And this may be something they want.
Learning about your opponent’s cards gives you a lot of power. But this card’s power comes with a price.
5. Electric Virus
If you know you’ll be facing Dragon or Machine decks, this is a smart way to use the biggest monsters from those decks against them.
Electric Virus is an LVL3 with 1000 ATK and 1000 DEF. But you’re not likely to use it in battle.
You’ll probably want this card because it lets you send a Dragon or Machine monster to the Graveyard and take control of it until the End Phase.
In Yu-Gi-Oh!, one of the best feelings is getting your opponent’s cards.
And if you can use their monsters to make your own boss monsters, you can quickly change the outcome of a duel.
4. Full Force Virus
Many decks use low-power monsters to help their bigger, scarier boss monsters get to where they need to go.
This is a great way to deal with those moving stones if you want to.
Full Force Virus lets you look at your opponent’s hand and every monster they control in exchange for a DARK monster with less than 2000 DEF.
You can also look at every card they draw for 3 turns and kill any monsters with 1500 DEF or less.
In a lot of decks, if there are no weak monsters, there are also no strong monsters.
Just make sure you’re ready for the effects of Graveyard!
3. Deck Devastation Virus
This card’s effects are almost the same as those of Full Force Virus, and they are just as dangerous.
Deck Devastation Virus lets you see your opponent’s hand, as well as everything they draw and control, for 3 turns after you sacrifice a DARK monster with 2000 or more ATK.
But the big difference is that monsters with 1500 or less ATK are killed instead of having their DEF reduced.
This affects a lot of monsters, just like Full Force Virus. And if you can’t choose between the two, why not use both?
2. Grinning Grave Virus
To play the next card, you must sacrifice a DARK monster with 3000 ATK or less.
Is the impact strong enough to get rid of such a strong monster?
Yes, of course!
Grinning Grave Virus forces your opponent to destroy one card from their hand or deck for every 500 ATK your sacrificed monster has. For example, a monster with 3000 ATK would be the same as 6 cards.
You can look at every card your opponent draws for the next three turns and destroy every monster they play.
Monsters that end up in the Graveyard because of this can’t use their effects right away, which makes this card much more dangerous than Tribe-Infecting Virus.
If you use this at the right time, your opponent won’t be able to defend themselves.
And that’s the kind of thing that helps win games.
1. Eradicator Epidemic Virus
Some decks depend on their Spell and Trap cards for everything.
And if you don’t have a way to deal with them, the results could be too much for you.
Eradicator Epidemic Virus is a terrible way to deal with any Spell/Trap-heavy deck.
For the cost of a DARK monster with 2500 or more ATK, you can reveal either a Spell or a Trap and then look at your opponent’s hand, all Spells and Traps they control, and every card they draw for 3 turns.
Any card that matches the type you said gets thrown away.
Being able to see what your opponent is doing is a very powerful skill on its own.
But Eradicator Epidemic Virus is the best because it stops your opponent from using Spells or Traps and takes away the mind games that come with face-down cards.
