The beginning of the trailer for the new “Legend of Zelda” video game looks similar to the dozens of others the franchise has released since 1986: Link journeys through a castle and slashes other characters with a sword to rescue Zelda, the eponymous character.
But this time, the long-time main character Link, after rescuing the franchise’s titular character Zelda from a crystal cell using an arrow falls into a mysterious abyss.
Zelda stays alone while she escapes from the castle and looks over the world of Hyrule, the fictitious place where the games occur.
