What is Byregot’s Blessing in FFXIV?

At level 50, players in Final Fantasy XIV gain access to Byregot’s Blessing, a new crafting skill.

Craftsmen in the fields of Gastronomy, Alchemy, Weaving, Leatherwork, Goldsmithing, Armoring, Blacksmithing, and Carpentry have access to it.

Therefore, it is clear that Byregot’s Blessing is accessible to virtually any profession that produces an end result.

Just learning a combat job role action, is something that all roles learn at a certain level, regardless of their crafting specialty.

Having the ability is pointless if you don’t know how and when to use it.

There is no need to expect Byregot’s Blessing to completely revolutionize your crafting world, but it can be helpful on occasion.

What Does Byregot’s Blessing Do?

“Increases quality. Inner Quiet effect ends upon use.

Efficiency: 100% plus 20% for each bonus to control granted by Inner Quiet.

Success Rate: 100%”

That’s what the help menu says, but how can beginner craftsmen make sense of it?

In XIV, crafting is essentially a minigame.

The synthesis will fail if the durability decreases by too much, so you’ll have to strike a balance between the two as you work to improve the quality. The durability meter will drop as a result of most acts.

Some skills allow you to restore an item’s durability, but doing so drains CP that could be better spent improving the item’s quality.

If you want to make money off of your crafting, you need to consistently produce goods of a high quality that people will pay for.

Infusing quality with Byregot’s Blessing.

Inner Quiet consumes any active Inner Quiet buffs to improve their quality by an additional 100%.

A significant increase is possible, especially if you stack up to nine copies of Inner Quiet.

When Should I Use Byregot’s Blessing?

Byregot’s Blessing, in layman’s terms, is utilized once the crafter is finished and no longer needs the extra measure of control that Inner Quiet provides.

In other words, you’re trading in your Inner Quiet stacks for a quality boost in the last stage of synthesis.

The success of your other crafting steps will determine whether or not you should employ Byregot’s Blessing.

Should we finish up Quality now? To what extent does it require you to regain CP before you may resume development?

If you’re looking to put the finishing touches on something, now is the moment to take a hit of Byregot’s Blessing.

Who Is Byregot, Anyway?

Byregot’s Blessing

Eorzea’s pantheon, known as “The Twelve,” includes the god Byregot.

Byregot is introduced for the first time while selecting a Patron Deity during the character creation process.

Although the Patron Deity system has no bearing on your character’s growth, you will encounter many references to its gods on your journeys.

Byregot’s name appears again in two level 51 cross-job skills: Byregot’s Ward (a talent for Miners) and Byregot’s Brow (a skill for all professions).

As the patron saint of construction workers and builders, Byregot is revered by many.

Therefore, it is fitting to honor this god by naming a crafting ability after him or her.

Characters like this only exist in XIV’s lore, but their influence may be felt in many areas.

Take a brief peek at The Twelve the next time you’re on the character creation screen.

Even if we never actually meet them, we can still appreciate how much of an impact they’ve had on the world of Eorzea.
