Sundelions are a newly introduced plant in The Legend of Zelda: Hero Tears of the Kingdom focusing solely on cooking recipes that reverse the negative impact of the Gloom which was released during the Upheaval.
Although the Gloom only manifests in the underground Depths region, players can find tough Gloom Hands enemies in pools in the rest of Hyrule. Said that even the doors to the chasms that lead to the Depths are also touched by Gloom.
Where to Find Sundelions
Sky Islands are the native habitat for sundelions, sundelions can also be found around shrines, and during the Dragon Tears quest.
These locations are perfect for this purpose as Sundelions can be found above the surface of Hyrule and the farms will always provide.
Sky Islands
The Sky Islands in Hyrule’s sky are the best location to look for a Sundelion species as is presented above. You can find them thriving in such areas as along the water’s edge cliffs and floating islands. Some are easily Afghanistan once you ve traveled to the islands using Zonai devices or via the main story quests.
Near Shrines
It is also established that sundelions are found spawning near several shrines and the most responsive to this are the high-altitude shrines.
If you’re walking the path leading towards various shrines in the sky, make sure to look out for these flowers. They can become mostly inconspicuous and hide their telescope, however, it could be quite worthwhile to take a couple of minutes and survey the surroundings of shrines.
Dragon Tears Quest Areas
Players have claimed that chances increase when it comes to finding Sundelions close to the places that host Dragon Tears quests.
These quests lead Link to higher grounds of regions where Sundelions are supposed to be found. I hope you find the following quests helpful as you go through them, do not forget to pick them up as you go along.
Skyview Towers
Skyview Towers can be used for progression to further higher terrains taking you closer to floating islands where Sundelions are found.
After being set free from a tower, look for a possible ground area for landing on the island. These towers also offer near access to sundelions where they grow.
Tips for Efficient Farming
Use Zonai devices for travel between Sky Islands, remember good locations on the map, and collect Sundelions for restoring lost hearts in areas filled with Gloom.
Zonai Devices can easily facilitate your travel
Exploring the Sky Islands isn’t easy at all. If you’re in the middle of the ocean with nothing but Zonai devices – wings, balloons, etc, it might give you access to Sundelions that are otherwise impossible to reach.
Mark Locations
Take note of all the areas where you have chanced upon a good Sundelion farming spot. This will enable you to easily reach the exact position afterwards when you farm again, or when you respawn.
Integrate with Gloom Recovery Strategies
Because Sundelions are used to get back hearts lost to Gloom, it’s advised to gather them before entering a Gloom section. That will only help stock up so you can be ready when it comes to the tough part of the game.
Farming in the Sky
Note that Sundelions are not found in mainland areas, so focus on farming higher elevation plots of land. One might expect them to be born near Gloom areas, but most, if not all, Sundelions live high above the ground.
