To Persona fans, June 8 might be a big day. Atlus may be planning a new Persona game announcement for that date, according to some newly discovered circumstantial evidence.
Japanese company will host Persona Live Tour 2024 on that day, with a livestream starting at 6 p.m. ET.
The upcoming series will feature a concert performance of some of the series’ most famous songs, as the name suggests.
A paid online event, like all previous Persona concerts, this one will cost ¥4,400, which is a little more than $28.
What Atlus didn’t say about this coming event is potentially more interesting than what it did. As Persona Central first pointed out, the Sega-owned studio has been very careful in recent years to define when its broadcasts would not feature any new game announcements.
However, the Persona Live Tour 2024 announcement did not include that information, which raises the possibility that some specific new announcements could be made as part of the coming concert broadcast.
While the nature of the announcement might make a game announcement seem strange, the theory caught the attention of prominent Sega and Atlus leaker Midori, who retweeted it. This led some fans to believe there might be some truth to this theory.
A Possible June 2024 Persona Game Announcement Has Multiple Potential Candidates
There is no shortage of potential candidates that could theoretically call at the event, assuming Atlus is indeed planning to show a new game as part of the upcoming broadcast.
Persona 6, which is reportedly targeting a 2025 release, is the biggest yet-to-be-announced entry in the series that is definitely in the works right now.
However, it doesn’t look like Atlus will be able to limit the reach of its reveal by putting it behind a paywall. It’s more theoretical that a game announcement in June 2024 would feature a spin-off.
All Persona Games That Reportedly Entered Development in 2019
Game | Platform(s) | Release Date |

Persona 5 Tactica | PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X/S, Switch, PC | November 17, 2023 |

Persona 6 | TBA, rumored to be multi-platform | TBA |
There are rumors that at least two non-mainline series entries have been in the works lately. One of them is the rumored party-based Persona game code-named Asa, whose current status is unknown.
According to a January 2024 report from Midori, the project may have been canceled despite having reached a late stage of development.
Persona 5: The Phantom X, a gacha-style game for mobile devices and PC, is another potential announcement candidate in the near future.
Although that particular title, made by the Chinese studio Black Wings, has been official since spring 2021, it hasn’t been confirmed for any market outside of China, where it’s still in beta.
Persona 5: The Phantom X could be the main attraction if Atlus is indeed planning an early June game announcement, as Midori has repeatedly stated that its aim release is only a matter of time.
