39. Kazuya Kinoshita From Rent-A-Girlfriend
Kazuya is an indecisive man who likes to immerse himself in his superiority, so he sometimes lies around him without hesitation.
His lies often get him into trouble, because he cannot muster the strength to tell the truth.
He makes the lies go on to avoid the problem of having to explain everything. An example of this is his fake relationship with Chizuru Ichinose kept up to cheer his grandmother up.
38. Kyubey From Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka☆Magica Side Story
Kyubey is an alien known as an “incubator”. Because of this, he, like his race, cannot exhibit emotions of any kind.
As a result, Kyubey often appears cold, calculating and scheming; traits that make him appear villainous in the series. Kyubey, however, only seeks to achieve a goal; to preserve the universe from entropy.
To meet this goal, he takes all means logically efficient and reasonable; namely creating Puella Magi. Initially, Kyubey appears enthusiastic to help the Puella Magi in their quest, offering advice where applicable.
37. Haru Nonoka From Sing “Yesterday” For Me
Haru is an eccentric girl working at MILK HALL. She adopted a crow and named it Kansuke.
Because of the drastic change in her appearance, Rikuo does not remember meeting her five years ago.
She often drops by the convenience store before going to work.
36. Akito Sohma From Fruits Basket
Aside from her occasional bad temper tantrums when she was young, Akito was a nice, gentle, pampered, and sweet girl.
Due to her father spoiling her, Akito grew believing that she was born to be loved by everyone and that everyone must do as she says.
On the other hand, her mother’s psychological and emotional abuse lead Akito to be desperate for displays of affection, and she would go around the household asking everyone if they loved her.
35. Tsukasa Yugi From Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun
Tsukasa appears to be cheerful and quite immature. He genuinely adores his older brother, Amane, and will happily jump into his arms upon seeing him despite Amane’s visible unease.
Due to this childish demeanor, he is often treated like a little kid by Sakura, whom he is bound to by contract. However, he is capable of carrying out extreme acts of violence with no remorse.
This is shown when he gleefully cuts into a puffer fish just to see what they look like on the inside, despite being warned against doing so.
34. Daisuke Kanbe From The Millionaire Detective – Balance: UNLIMITED
Daisuke is a young man of average stature. He has dull blue-gray eyes, thick eyebrows, and short, slicked-back black hair.
When his hair is down, his bangs fall unevenly across his forehead and reach past his eyebrows.
Daisuke often wears various layers. His three-piece suit consists of a black blazer that is paired with dress pants of the same color and a black waistcoat.
33. Claire Aoki From Gleipnir
Clair is a conflicted person. Seeing her sister become a monster and murder her family while no one believed her, made her feel lost and in utter despair to the point she attempted suicide.
After being saved by Shuichi in his monster form, she realizes that monsters are indeed real and becomes decided to find her sister.
Initially viewing Shuichi with scorn, thinking of him purely as a monster she was verbally and physically abusive towards him, even blackmailing him and using him as her own tool.
32. Mary Hunt From My Next Life As A Villainess: All Routes Lead To Doom!
Mary Hunt is the youngest of four daughters in Marquis Hunt’s family. Although her mother was a very beautiful person, she wasn’t highly thought of in the mansion because her social status was low.
Even so, her father and mother were very much in love. However, her three older sisters didn’t seem to think very highly of her.
When her mother passed away-the environment around her changed completely.
31. Kana Hoshisato From Hatena☆Illusion
Kana is an exuberant and happy go lucky girl who is shown to be easily embarrassed and clueless about Makoto Shiranui being a boy.
She’s also really stupid, as shown when Mariah Grene tricked her even after she had betrayed her once already and still trusted her aunt’s words.
She also doesn’t realize the female butler used Makoto’s name as an excuse so she’d continued the waterfall meditation just so the butler could see her and her sister get wet and possibly partly naked since the butler is a lesbian pervert.
30. Shingo Ichinomiya from the 8th Son? Are you kidding me?
Although Wend seems simple on the surface, he has many different aspects to his personality.
Although Wend has extreme magical talent and knowledge, he’s shown to be kind, modest, and compassionate towards others.
But he also has an obsession, bordering on mania, for finding, processing, and recreating foods from his previous world, spending the vast majority of his time on this journey.
But he is also quite pliable to pressure from others, bordering on receiving the nickname yes man.
29. Jegal Taek From God Of High School
He had an arrogant personality and tended to get extremely violent when fighting. His fighting style had caused many opponents to become scared to fight against him.
He seemed to have a similar violent attitude towards his team. Taek viewed everyone he fought as trash, with the exception of Park Il-Pyo, whom he viewed as a savage animal just like him.
He also saw him as the only person he had to defeat because he considered their first fight his utter defeat and that he may never be able to beat him.
28. Gabriel Miller From Sword Art Online: Alicization
Gabriel is not only charismatic, manipulative, and wickedly intelligent, even despite his insanity, but also utterly bloodthirsty and utterly devoid of anything remotely resembling empathy.
He murdered his fiancée when he was a child to see what the nature of the soul was like, experimented on animals for that same reason also during his youth, and treats his followers either as tools or his own playthings.
Gabriel constantly views everyone else as inferior to him while discarding them after being done using them for his own purposes.

Glenn is rather humble and easy-going. He cares the most about his patients and does what is best for them.
He is also extraordinarily selfless He has gone out of his way to help and save others for nothing in return.
He is also able to retain his composure and professionalism no matter the situation, such as working during a bandit attack or ignoring the reactions he elicits from some of his patients during exams.
26. Hana Uzaki from Uzaki-Chan Wants to Hang Out!
Hana’s energetic personality and confident, cheerful, and playful antics often annoyed and embarrassed her senpai, Shinichi.

She has a strong fixation upon “Justice”, originating from her father’s service in the Imperial Army and subsequent death.
She also highly respected Ogre the Demon, her superior and teacher, and was heavily anguished by his death as well.
23. Akira Takaoka From Assassination Classroom
Takaoka intially appears to be a very kind and helpful man in his debut appearance.
However, he turns out to be a sadistic drill instructor who abuses his strength and power through brute force and violence.
He does not hesitate in beating up anyone, even the students (such as kneeing Maehara and slapping Kanzaki when they object to his training), just to show how powerful he is.
22. Pariston Hill From Hunter x Hunter (2011)
According to Ging Freecss, Pariston’s personality is similar to Netero’s and his own in that he likes to play around and enjoy himself, uninterested in winning or losing, which makes him very unpredictable.
He always appears cheerful with a bright smile, making it quite impossible to read his thoughts and calculate his motives.
This alone infuriates the Zodiacs, mostly Cheadle, Kanzai, and Cluck.
21. Rachel From Tower of God
Rachel also known as Michelle Light is an Irregular and was Baam’s best and only friend as she was the only one to visit him in his “cave”.
She longs to see the stars which is one of the fabled rewards waiting at the top of the Tower, because she “fears the Night”.
Having once been a member of Khun’s team, she now works alongside FUG.
20. Takumi Ichinose From Nana
Takumi is a 6’1″ tall young adult man in his early 20s. He is noted as being handsome with long black hair that reaches his shoulders, which Nana comments she wishes he would never cut it.
He has grey eyes and a pierced ears, mainly wearing either a sliver stud or a small silver hoop. When going out, he wears aviator sunglasses.
Takumi in general is expansive and down to Earth person. Ambitious, even as a child, he wanted to find something that only he can do and was willing to reach success.
19. Estarossa From Seven Deadly Sins
Estarossa seems to have a normally relaxed demeanor. When Meliodas appears and threatens the Ten Commandments, he doesn’t seem overly bothered by the situation.
Beneath this aloof exterior, however, he has a very sadistic and cold side. He cites Meliodas’ former ruthlessness as one of the traits he used to admire most about him and clearly takes pleasures in torturing his estranged brother as punishment for the betrayal of his own kind.
He did, however, begin crying when killing Meliodas, implying that he does still feel love for his older brother.
18. Danzō Shimura From Naruto: Shippuden
When he was younger, Danzō was a hot-headed and eager ninja with a strong desire to prove himself. He, after a long internal struggle, decided to volunteer himself to buy time for his teammates, though Hiruzen Sarutobi beat him to it.
He often displayed jealousy towards Hiruzen, believing he was always one step ahead of him and feeling inferior to him. Danzō never used soft words like “friend”, as he never wanted to lean on someone or be leaned on.
As an adult, Danzō was a completely calm, cold and collected individual who did not allow his emotions to surface.
17. The Sybil System From Psycho-Pass
The Sibyl System is the name given to a law enforcement organization operated in working in cooperation with the national government to manage crime in 22nd century Japan.
It is the sole operator and manager of proprietary hardware and software used to analyze the criminal tendencies of the entire country’s populace.
The Sibyl System established the Ministry of Welfare’s Public Safety Bureau and rules over its personnel, along with all Psycho-Pass technology and weaponry, with an iron fist.
16. Moeka Kiryuu From Steins;Gate
Personality wise, Moeka is quiet, absent-minded, reserved, has difficulties interacting with people, and seen to be expressionless most of the time without actually reacting towards anyone or anything, except for certain situations.
Her preferred form of communication is via text messages even if the person she is “talking” to is right in front of her.
Therefore, Moeka is very protective of her phone and becomes agitated if someone tries to take it from her hands.
15. Malty Melromarc From The Rising of the Shield Hero
Malty normally presents herself to newcomers with her mask of a friendly, encouraging and flirty person, but she is actually a malevolent psychopath with a myriad of negative traits.
She is a pathological liar, prejudiced, narcissist, egocentric, haughty, dishonest, corrupt, arrogant, amoral, treacherous, sinister, sadistic, abusive, deceitful, selfish and tyrannical.
She is shown to be highly adept at lying and manipulating people, and is not above insulting and making them as miserable as possible.
14. Sweyn Forkbeard From Vinland Saga
Sweyn is known for his wit, ferocity, ruthlessness and battle tactics, which kept everything under his rule in water-tight control.
His ruthlessness and battle tactics are shown when he refused to adhere to his Jomsviking Commander Floki to withdraw from England.
Instead, he proposed they rest until summer so the soldiers could fight better than in the harsh winter elements.
13. Near From Death Note
He is proficient when it comes to multitasking and is able to monitor multiple computer screens at once. Near also appears to be ambidextrous, playing darts with his left hand and stacking dice with his right.
Despite his genius abilities, Near has low social knowledge and is bad at interacting with others. As stated in Death Note 13: How to Read, “he is only able to display his true deductive powers when he has the support of his members.” The book also states that Near is distant from people because he is sensitive.
Near is rather codependent, as seen when he asks Rester to accompany him on his flight to Japan due to having never flown alone.
12. Haruhi Suzumiya From The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Season 2
Haruhi is driven primarily by her desire to live an extraordinary life. She enjoys being the center of attention, and her schemes often stem from her desire to increase the SOS Brigade’s notoriety and her view that things that are out of the ordinary are fun.
She has very little regard for what constitutes ‘normal’ behavior, and at times even purposely engages in deviant behavior in an effort to overcome a fit of boredom.
At the same time, she heavily subscribes to conservative principles; she addresses adults in a respectful manner and using conventional etiquette, emphasizes the observance of traditional holidays, and forbids voyeurism.
11. Tomoko Kuroki From WataMote: No Matter How I Look At It, It’s You Guys’ Fault I’m Unpopular!
Tomoko has a grim outlook on life – so much that during a daydream she imagines herself on a motorcycle, only to crash and end up in the hospital.
She utters a “censored” with a tone reference to the anime Gantz, hoping her world will be destroyed and replaced. As the initial series progresses, Tomoko tries to become popular by coming up with ideas on how to get attention.
She usually either fails or receives negative attention. She often lacks a “filter” in that she will say what she thinks without considering the consequences.
10. Boruto Uzumaki From Boruto: Naruto Next Generations
Boruto is loud, energetic, and stubborn not unlike his father; even possessing a verbal tic, “dattebasa” (だってばさ), similar to Naruto’s “dattebayo” and his paternal grandmother’s “(da)ttebane” ((だ)ってばね).
However, compared to his father at his age, Boruto is more refined and crafty, seemingly knowing all the shortcuts, as well as more mature in knowing how the world works.
Between the two, he is more sarcastic. Unlike Naruto, Boruto doesn’t yell what he feels, which is the biggest difference.
9. Makoto Itou From School Days
Generally, Makoto comes across as a gentle and nice guy and gets along with girls without much trouble. However, he is somewhat of a loner who isn’t all that outgoing, and is described as “troublesome” and “depressive” by Taisuke in Cross Days.
In Shiny Days, according to Ikeda, a former middle school classmate, all the guys avoid Makoto because he seems to attract all the girls in his vicinity.
Early on in the main visual novel, he is very indecisive, unable or unwilling to choose among the women he comes across, possibly because he doesn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.
8. Nobuyuki Sugou From Sword Art Online
Nobuyuki also viewed himself as a god that could get anything he wanted, viewing other people as inferiors who tried to interfere with his actions, and often abused his GM status to flaunt his “god”-like status.
Nobuyuki also harmed many people, especially their feelings, and thought that they were helpless to do anything about it.
He also has an extremely perverted side, especially towards Asuna, as he had sexually harassed her on many occasions, even going as far abusing her in front of Kirito.
7. Minoru Mineta From Boku no Hero Academia
Minoru is timid but perverted to the point of infamy, which makes him unpopular with the girls and even some of the boys, who consider his interests and mannerisms depraved.
His mind frequently trails off to lewd thoughts, even in situations involving completely unrelated matters.
When an opportunity to peep at the girls arises, Minoru becomes very determined to take it, although this often leads to painful results.
6. Sakura Haruno From Naruto
Sakura was insecure and highly self-conscious about her large forehead, covering it with her bangs. It was not until she met Ino, who defended her from bullies and became her friend, that she become more self-confident.
At the start of Part I, Sakura typically gives the outward impression of being polite to her superiors, considerate of her peers, and confident in herself.
She has occasional moments of bashfulness around Sasuke and competitiveness around Ino, but otherwise appears quite collected.
5. Shou Tucker From Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Shou initially comes off as a soft-spoken man, often preferring to keep to himself rather than socialize. When having guests, he does put on a polite persona and appears to be quite gentle, friendly, and kind.
However, as his daughter Nina had begun to notice, he was more often engrossed with his work than his family. In reality, Shou suffered from a lack of confidence due to his research not producing any viable results and was a very desperate, selfish, and manipulative man devoid of any sort of conscience.
In order to get his qualification as a State Alchemist, he was willing to sacrifice his wife and later his own daughter in order to maintain it from fear of returning to a life of poverty and regret.
4. Umaru Doma From Himouto! Umaru-chan
In her ‘Outdoor’ mode, she is described as the perfect teenage girl at school and around town.
She is a student who is on top of her class (due to her outstanding grades), possesses an overall charismatic feel, kind-hearted, excels in everything she does, and despite her popularity.
She remains humble, thus earning the admiration by her fellow classmates and faculty alike. She also portrays a very sweet and cute personality. Her voice is also calm, more feminine, and very refined.
3. Gisuke Sasaki From Rainbow: Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin
The doctor at the Shōnan Special Reformatory. He will often publicly say, “We must treat the children well.” Secretly however, Sasaki is a pedophile and regularly sexually molests boys at the school.
Sasaki will usually pay Ishihara to send prisoners to him so he can violate them; something that Ishihara himself finds pleasure with, due to his sadistic nature. In the past, Sasaki violated one of Sakuragi’s former cellmates, Hagino, resulting in the boy committing suicide.
Sasaki, like Ishihara, wants to kill Sakuragi before he leaves the school because Sakuragi has knowledge of Sasaki’s crimes and can prove them.
After leaving the reformatory he aims to be a mayor, however his plans break apart when the six boys force him to confess all his crimes, which after being recorded are announced at a public broadcast.
2. Shinji Ikari From Neon Genesis Evangelion
Shinji initially shows a passive and laid-back personality, inheriting such traits from his relaxed life with his sensei. When he is told to pilot Unit-01, he denies, not wanting to do it.
Though Shinji denies it, he yearns for praise, and he eventually begins to pilot Unit-01 to gain the approval and love from his father.
He also continually tells himself “I mustn’t run away!”, further demonstrating his need to move forward and let go of the past.
Shinji shows a great fear of emotional pain and of being hated or left behind, likely due to his perception of being abandoned in his youth and, subsequently, blaming himself for not being good enough to make his father stick around.
1. Yukiteru Amano From Mirai Nikki
Yukiteru is most well known for his crybaby personality, becoming tearful and distressed in response to traumatic situations. He also has a tendency to cower in battle, usually relying on Yuno for protection.
He lacks confidence and is usually submissive to confrontation. He is well aware of and fears Yuno’s insanity regarding him, but has a strong desire to keep her sane, often forgiving her for her mistakes and keeping her from murdering others.
Yukiteru has little desire to become a god, trying to form alliances with other diary holders and mainly fighting out of self-defense.
