Solely belong to the manga series from Japan. After hitting big in 2019 and with one year gap will the anime hit big again. Kakegurui was created by Homura Kawamoto and the illustration was given by Tōru Naomura.
The manga is quite popular in itself, but after the adaptation takes place by MAPPA in anime it starts the main show the first season of the show was premiered on July 1, 2017, and finished on September 23, 2017, and the second season of the anime, titled, ‘Kakegurui ××’ was aired from January 8 to March 26, 2019, on the popular OTT platform we all know very well, yes “Netflix” I know you all guessed it right.
The show was highly anticipated by the fans and all were wondering when the season third will premiere after the increased success rate of the all past season.

Kakegurui last season was premiered in March 2019 and after that fans are eagerly waiting for the new season, but unfortunately there is no official announcement from the studio even though after released on Netflix, they also don’t have any rights to disclose or comment on the renewal.
As we all know the current situation so we just ignore that also and it is very natural because if the COVID situation the process might get delayed.

Although we have dozens of characters in Kakegurui which are the base of the series without them the show’s success will not that big as per my thoughts but based on the story we have three main characters that were pretty clear by the storyline.
Yumeko Jabami
Yumeko is the main protagonist of the show, Yumeko has a very attractive and charming personality, but her character takes a u-turn when she starts playing gamble after that she becomes obsessive.
She is a girl student who has recently transferred from an old school to a new school name Hyakkaou Private Academy.
Apart from her beauty when it comes to gambling, she has exceptional observational abilities which make her a formidable adversary in the game.
As soon entering school, she showed her compulsive nature while gambling for the sake of the thrill and satisfaction she put everything on life which also include her life.
After settling herself in the new school as new competition, she creates her reputation, and soon after creating a path she moves against the school’s student council, who tries to shut her down to save their reputation in Infront of every student.
Mary Saotome
Mary Saotome or we can say pro gambler. Initially, in the show, her character is also like an obsessive gambler, but she was shown to be an extremely sadistic person who derives pleasure from making others her house pets.
But she loses everything against Yumeko because Mary is the first one who challenged Yumeko to gamble on her first day at school.
After losing she also becomes a house pet with a huge debt, but later on in the story both Mary and Yumeko become friends and also regain her position in the school.
Ryota Suzui
Ryota is also the main character of the show, a classmate of Mary and Yumeko. Ryota was also a house pet of Mary but the scene changes when Yumeko wins against Mary she frees him from his debt and becomes a close friend to Yumeko.
Ryota is a very kind and friendly guy, but when it comes to gambling, he is not the obsessive character of the show.
However, after involving more and more with Yumeko he grows his confidence and becomes an adept gambler. To help Yumeko and to protect her.
Kakegurui Compulsive Gambler Plot
The story of Kakegurui: Compulsive Gambler is more obsessive when it’s come to the character of the show. The story is based on the Hyakkou Private Academy, which is famous for gambling, the high-class elite school that is home to the wealthiest children of Japan.
But the school is very different from other schools like the school regime was not based on their academic score or anything, but the thing that matters the most is the skill of the gambling of the students.
The students who win the gamble earn popularity, prestige, and connections. The loser ones, who are not so popular fall into debt, become house slaves and tend to do service to pay their debt.
The ‘pets’ who are unable to clear their debts receive ‘life schedules’ and it will be the proposal form from the student council of their future as they have to pay back the debt with their life.
The world inside the school is different as the gambling world by no means is the lenient one, although the gamble system in the school has a variety of games and different from each other.
The show follows the story of a new transfer girl in the Hyakkaou Private Academy with an attractive feature called Yumeko Jabami. She is also a compulsive gambler like others, but she doesn’t gamble for money and prestige she does gamble for the sake of gambling.
After becoming popular in school as she was not easily understood by others because of her cheerful a beautiful nature towards others and with her exceptional observational abilities, Yumeko quickly observes everything about her opponent gambling scams and puts the student council’s reputation at risk.
As her reputation in the gambling world is increasing day by day the school’s student council feels that it is bad and they plan to shut her down, and the show follows the powerful gamble between Yumeko and the Student Council in the follow up of the story.
