The Invincible Season 2 Story: What’s it All About?

Invincible Season 2

Mark finds the visceral ending of the first season a little overwhelming. Perhaps audiences feel the same. Mark’s world is transformed at the end of the first season.

The season finale twist is when Nolan reveals to Mark that he was appointed by the Viltrum Empire to the task of conquering the planet. The Omni-man destroys half of Chicago’s family when he fails to bring his son along.

Omni-man retreats temporarily, which is unusual for him. Cecil encourages Mark to accept his father’s position, but Mark isn’t sure. He also wants to finish school but will face many obstacles.

Season 2 will take viewers to space and answer some of the burning questions from the first season. Nolan has now retreated, but it won’t be long before he returns to the surface of the planet with the Viltrumite Horde.

It will also be difficult for Mark, given Titan’s new treaties in season 1 and the other villainies that are unfolding. Kirkman confirmed that season 2 will feature the supervillain Angstrom Leviev.

The last montage gives a hint at possible plot developments. The series contains 144 issues, so the bulk of the storey is still to be told.
