How To Unlock The Aesthetician in FFXIV?

Final Fantasy 14 gives you a lot of ways to make your character unique. You can spend real money to completely change your character’s appearance.

You can do a lot to make your Warrior of Light feel like it was made just for you. Each customization option is unique in its own way.

One of these ways is through the esthetician, who gives you access to a wide range of customization options, from hair style and color to facial features like lip color, eyebrows, tattoos, and much more.

The Aesthetician is a great compromise to Phial of Fantasia because it lets you change some things about your character without spending real-world money.

Even though you don’t have many options, this lets you change your Warrior of Light’s look quite a bit and is worth getting.

Final Fantasy 14 has added a few new hairstyles since this guide was first posted, so we changed it to include them.

We also changed the layout to make it easier to find things and make it fit with the other guides for the game.

This includes the coordinates, the level requirements, and a list of any requirements that must be met before moving on.

Overview

Before an Aesthetician can alter your hairstyle, you must fulfill a number of conditions. These prerequisites are simple and can be satisfied pretty early on in your journey.

Requirements

  1. Complete MSQ “Call of the Sea”
  2. MSQ begins in your respective starting city
  3. Be Level 15 with at least one Disciple of War or Magic.

Unlocking The Aesthetician

If the aforementioned conditions are met, the next stage is to unlock the Aesthetician! To begin “Beauty is Only Scalp-Deep,” simply travel to Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks and chat with S’dhodjbi (X:11.1, Y:11.0).

During the adventure, you are instructed to aid Jandelaine, a highly unhappy barber who has lost his equipment and his pride.

You will eventually be required to travel to the many Disciple of the Hand guilds that are dispersed around the city-states.

This mission unlocks the Aesthetician and rewards you with a Jandelaine’s Token, which may be redeemed for a free haircut.

In addition, you can obtain an additional Jandelaine’s Token by completing the Level 50 quest “Of Siblings and Side-whiskers,” which begins after you meet with Deputy Postmoogle in Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (X:10.4, Y:11.3). This mission cannot be accessed unless “Beauty is Only Scalp-Deep” has been completed.

Where To Use The Aesthetician’s Services

After completing the Aesthetician’s questline, you may now utilize their services as you see fit. But with a few exceptions First, the Aesthetician’s services are exclusive to inns, which are located in every major city in Eorzea.

Additionally, you will be required to pay 2,000 Gil each time you use their service. You can preview alterations and hairstyles prior to spending Gil on them.

In addition, if you possess a Jandelaine Token, you can redeem it for a free session, however, only two are available in the game.

The Aesthetician service allows you to modify your eyebrows, lip color, facial traits (such as scars, bushy eyebrows, etc.), tattoos and their colors, and face paints in addition to your hairdo and color.
