Following the release of Fortnite Festival, a new mode that imitates Guitar Hero gameplay and lets users jam out to their favorite songs and artists, Fortnite is extending a warm welcome to The Weeknd.
With hits like “Blinding Lights” and “Save Your Tears,” The Weeknd makes his Fortnite debut as an Icon Series skin.
Particularly following the Big Bang event, Fortnite’s popularity surged. It features a variety of game modes, including Battle Royale, Save the World, Fortnite x LEGO, Rocket Racing, and the recently released Fortnite Festival.
With so many possibilities available, players may be wondering how to get The Weeknd and assemble a roster in Fortnite that includes well-known artists like Ariana Grande and Eminem.
How To Get The Weekend?
On December 9, 2023, The Weeknd made his debut in the Fortnite Item Shop, bringing a ton of amazing new merchandise with him.
However, players will have to complete Fortnite Festival tasks in order to obtain his recognizable red suit and black shirt.
Players can unlock The Weeknd and the Season 1 Festival Pass on Opening Night of the Fortnite Festival, but they have until February 22, 2024, to do it. Remember that obtaining the Festival Pass costs a substantial quantity of V-Bucks.
The special Weeknd outfit can only be obtained through the premium rewards of the Festival Pass, which are separate from the Battle Pass and other quests, however the Weeknd Combat outfit is directly available in the Item Shop.
The Weekend (11,000 Festival Points)
Players must gather 11,000 Festival Points—which can be obtained by finishing Festival-related tasks and taking part in jam sessions—in order to take part in this weekend’s Fortnite Festival.
The Weeknd skin, in addition to other cosmetics like a guitar, microphone, and the “Blinding Lights” tune, can only be unlocked by spending 1,800 V-Bucks with the premium Festival Pass.
There are two variations available for the Weeknd skin: one with and one without spectacles. The attire pays homage to his legendary appearance from After Hours, his 2020 album. An alternate version of The Weeknd is available in the Item Shop for individuals who would rather not grind for the skin or buy the Premium Fortnite Festival Pass.
Weekend Mic (1,000 Festival Points)
At the Fortnite Festival, anyone with a voice and stage presence can use the Weekend Mic to hit the stage and perform their hearts out. It functions as one of Battle Royale’s jam emotes as well.
The Weekend Combat (1,800 V-Bucks)
Players can purchase The Weeknd in a unique fighting variation for 1,800 V-Bucks. Players can mix and combine several styles and types of this costume to create their own unique look for The Weeknd.
You have a lot of alternatives when it comes to wearing an XO jacket or not, dressing all black or all white, and adding a mask. The Weeknd Combat version consists of:
- Choice of colors: black or white
- XO Jacket: toggleable
- MASKD: toggleable
These customizable looks result in a look that is adaptable. There’s also a special metamorphosis emotion that is only available for The Weeknd.
Players can pay a moving homage to one of The Weeknd’s favorite musicians, MF DOOM, by having him hold up the mask of the late, renowned musician with this built-in emote.
