The greatest number of players that can be present on Al Mazrah, the bigger map in Warzone, is 66, which can be divided into 22 three-man teams.
At any given time during a match, this is the maximum number of players that can be present on the map.
Because of the unpredictable nature of matches in DMZ, it is not uncommon for players to encounter a smaller number of opponents than this.
In the vast majority of cases, they will not even come close to encountering 63 actual adversaries throughout a match on Al Mazrah.
This is primarily because different adversaries depart and arrive in matches at different periods in time.
Take, for instance, the scenario in which you have just entered a match; in most cases, there were already players on the map before you arrived.
Players who have died and who may not wish to watch their colleagues compete can also exit the match, which will result in a lower total number of players in the lobby.
Therefore, although it is possible that there could be 63 players on the map in the DMZ, it is more likely that you will only locate a small portion of that number.
This does not imply that there are not additional players participating in the match; rather,
it just means that they are distributed in various spots that you may not have visited.
To put it simply, the maximum lobby size that can be reached in a DMZ match will typically be tough to achieve on this vast map.
How many players are in DMZ on Ashika Island?
The player count is different for the smaller zones in the DMZ because the smaller location requires a different number of players.
On the Resurgence map that was introduced in the second season, Ashika Island, the maximum number of players is 18, which is equivalent to six squads of three.
How many players are in the DMZ on Vondel?
Just like Ashika Island, the maximum number of players on the Vondel map for season four is 18, and there are six squads of three players each.
There won’t always be six squads, though, as the map is also playable by a single player or a pair of players.
