Hogwarts Legacy Reveals Everything Coming in the June 2024 Update

The long-awaited summer update for Hogwarts Legacy will release on all platforms on Thursday, June 6. Avalanche Software announced months ago that it was going to release a big new update for Hogwarts Legacy, but it didn’t say what that update would include.

When Avalanche Software first announced the game’s summer update, it only revealed that it would bring the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop quest to all players.

Avalanche Software has finally taken the covers off of the Hogwarts Legacy summer update, revealing what fans can look forward to when it comes out on June 6, 2024.

Avalanche Software has announced that the free Hogwarts Legacy update on June 6 will include the photo mode that fans have been asking for, the ability to reset Talent Points, the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop quest we already talked about, and some new cosmetics.

These include The Glasses That Lived, a pair of glasses that look like Harry Potter’s, the Felix Felicis Potion Recipe, the Azkaban Prisoner’s Outfit and Coat, the Lavender Borealis Broom, and the Onyx Hippogriff Mount.

While some of this content was only available to PlayStation owners who pre-ordered the game, it will now be available to all Hogwarts Legacy players, no matter what platform they are on or if they pre-ordered the game.

What’s Coming in the Hogwarts Legacy Summer Update?

  • New Photo Mode
  • Reset Talent Points
  • Haunted Hosgmeade Shop Quest
  • The Glasses That Lived
  • Felix Felicis Potion Recipe
  • Azkaban Prisoner’s Outfit and Coat
  • Lavender Borealis Broom
  • Onyx Hippogriff Mount

Although some PlayStation players are understandably underwhelmed, many Hogwarts Legacy fans are excited about the update, especially the photo mode.

Since a lot of this content used to be only available on PlayStation, they’ve had access to it for more than a year. At the very least, it’s good that Hogwarts Legacy is getting a new update. Hopefully, this isn’t the last one for the open world action-RPG.

Many fans of Hogwarts Legacy have been really looking forward to being able to change the seasons. Because Hogwarts Legacy takes place over the course of a whole school year, players are stuck in spring when the game is over.

Some people would like to see Hogwarts and the surrounding areas as they look in the winter or during Halloween, but that feature will still be missing after the June 6 update.

While the June 2024 update may have underwhelmed some Hogwarts Legacy fans, others will be pleased to learn that Avalanche Software is likely working on a follow-up.

As of this writing, Hogwarts Legacy 2 has not been officially announced, but reliable leakers have known about the game for a while.
