Queen Gna is one of the toughest bosses in the game God of War Ragnarok. Reserved for one of the most dangerous and non-predictable bosses during the PC Port release, Gna requires players to be on their toes at all times.

Preparation: Gearing Up for the Fight

That’s where armors came into business before confronting Gna. If you want to bake more you should concentrate on the equipment that brings up your strength, Defense, and Vitality.

Armor

The Steinbjorn Armor set is the best to go for if you want a set that offers heals and damage absorption characteristics.

Runic Attacks

To counter zone anti-cross effects, equip fast-charging runic attacks to take advantage of her brief opportunities.

Relics

The Hilt of Skofnung character is recommended from the aspect of area damage.

Understanding Gna’s Attack Patterns

From what I observed, Gna likes to charge his attacks which include both range shots and close combats and some of the combos are very destructive.

He realizes that it is important to know what these are, and how to protect himself against them if he wants to stay alive.

Winged Strikes

A set of quick hits; the player must avoid the blows, or guard themselves.

Bifrost Projectiles

Gna throws Bifrost orbs. Counter them so that you do not get hit hard.

Dive Attack

Her climax includes jumping and then falling to the ground. Roll sideways to evade.

Homing Orbs

These orbs will touch the ground and move around, follow them, and jump at the last possible second.

Phase One: Surviving the Onslaught

In the first part of the fight, Gna will be a simple impact of combinations and touch your reflexes. Just wait patiently for her and learn her cycle.

Counter Opportunities

Some of Gna’s attacks are the Bifrost orbs, she can finish off her combos with spin moves but she has the slight of a stagger before the next turn.

Use Atreus or Freya

Your companion is there to deal more damage or to interrupt her combos.

Stun Opportunities

Amazing up stun damage can put Gna into stun lock for a moment, which is good for getting a high amount of hits in quickly.

Phase Two: Increased Aggression

In the second phase, Gna becomes more aggressive and appears quicker and more deadly moves.

Stay Mobile

Stun is deadly, especially if you stand still; this weapon requires you to always be moving.

Punish Her Dive Attack

Predictable dive that she has when airborne; just avoid the strike and wait for her as she comes to the ground attacking.

Use Spartan Rage

This is where my Spartan Rage is powerful; you use it to gain health or break her motions.

Timing Your Finishers

As soon as Gna’s health lowers she becomes more erratic, throwing several homing orbs and performing vicious melee attacks. Delete her with your best moves so that you eliminate her as soon as possible.

Runic Finishers

Employ strong Runes to finish the last seconds.

Relics for the Win

Examples of relics include that of Skofnung which must be activated and then dealt large amounts of damage.

Watch for Her Last Stand

When Gna is on her last legs she might try to do throw a few more attacks so remain on defense until you get an opportunity to strike.
