In November of 2021, a new Genshin Impact character named Thoma was unveiled as part of the 2.2 update’s second banner.

An NPC in the country of Inazuma, he was also the Kamisato Clan’s Chief Retainer in its 2.0 version.

“He’s a really special character,” says Mihoyo.

Unlike most of the Inazuma characters, he has blonde hair and his identity is a bit of a mystery.

To sum up his character, he’s a people watcher and a more experienced travel companion.

Thoma is the Kamisato Clan’s current top retainer and has some connection to the Kamisato siblings.

Genshin Impact tweeted that his official title is “Kamisato Clan’s Housekeeper.”

Pyro polearm user Thoma, level 4, arrives with a replay of Hu Tao.

You may read up on what we know about Thoma’s talents and when we can expect to see his banner again in Genshin Impact by reading the information below.

Thoma is expected to reappear in the first banner of the 2.5 updates, according to current rumors.

Yae Miko, a new 5-star character, will be the focus of this banner, but fellow 4-star characters Fischl and Diona will also appear.

An update to the 2.5 version will be released in February 2022.

Genshin Impact Thoma abilities

Honey Hunter World currently offers Thoma’s powers, however this may alter before he appears in Update 2.2.

Normal Attack: Swiftshatter Spear

  1. Performs up to four spear strikes in a row in normal assault.
  2. Consumes a specific quantity of energy to charge ahead and strike at enemies, causing them to take damage.
  3. Attack with a swoop: Deals damage to all enemies in its route and deals Area of Effect damage when it lands.

Elemental Skill: Blazing Blessing

Using the point of his spear, Thoma channels flames and delivers a kick that deals AoE Pyro damage while simultaneously erupting a defensive Blazing Barrier to protect his target.

The Barrier provides Thoma a Pyro Infusion when it is unleashed.

Thoma’s maximum health determines the Barrier’s damage absorption capacity.

More than twice as much damage is absorbed by Blazing Barrier from pyrotechnics.

If another Blazing Barrier is gained during this period, the remaining damage absorption of the first one will be stacked and the duration of the second one will be refreshed.

The Barrier’s maximum damage absorption is limited to a proportion of Thoma’s maximum health.

Elemental Burst: Crimson Ooyoroi

A Scorching Panoply forms as Thoma’s spear rotates, cutting through his enemies with a hail of pyrokinetic fire.

Scorching Panoply:

Fiery Collapses, which deal AoE Pyro damage and summon Blazing Barriers, are triggered by the Normal Attacks of active characters impacted by the Scorching Panoply.

It’s possible for a Fiery Collapse to occur once every second.

Creating a Blazing Barrier this method is the same as using Thoma’s Elemental Skill, Blazing Blessing, except that this one can take more damage than that.

More than twice as much Pyro damage can be absorbed by them as normal.

If another Blazing Barrier is gained during this period, the remaining damage absorption of the first one will be stacked and the duration of the second one will be refreshed.

Thoma’s maximum health cannot be exceeded by the Barrier’s maximum damage absorption. Scorching Panoply’s effects are nullified if Thoma is defeated or otherwise eliminated.

Thoma Passive Talents

  1. Free Fisher: In Inazuma, successful fishing attempts have a 20% chance of obtaining a double catch for those who are fishing for free.
  2. Imbricated Armor: When a Blazing Barrier is obtained or refreshed, the currently active character’s Shield Strength is boosted by 5% for six seconds.
  3. Once every 0.3 seconds, this effect can be activated.
  4. Stacks are limited to five.
  5. Fiery Collapse’s Fiery Collapse damage rises by a factor of 1.5 of Thoma’s maximum health during the duration of the Flaming Assault.

Thoma Constellations

  1. Thoma’s Blazing Blessing and Crismon Ooyoroi cooldowns are both reduced by three seconds when a Blazing Barrier is damaged by a player other than him.
  2. Once every 20 seconds, this effect will be activated.
  3. Increases Crimson Ooyoroi by three seconds with the Shrewd Staff.
  4. Blazing Blessing’s level is raised by three with Fortified Resolve.
  5. Upgrading to the next level takes you up to level 15.
  6. When Crimson Ooyoroi unleashes a Fiery Collapse, Thoma receives 0.4 energy back.
  7. Once every 0.3 seconds, this effect is possible.
  8. Raging Wildfire: Crimson Ooyoroi’s level rises by three points.
  9. The maximum level of upgrade is 15.
  10. All party members’ normal, charged, and plunging attacks inflict 15% more damage for six seconds when a Blazing Barrier is earned or stacked.
