Genshin Impact: Best Chongyun Build

The greatest Genshin Impact Chongyun build for sub-DPS and hybrid support for our favorite chilly four-star Liyue character should be studied.

As part of an Arataki Itto rerun banner, the popsicle-loving professional exorcist makes a return in Genshin Impact 2.7.

Chongyun may be an excellent primary DPS for newer players, a decent sub DPS for those with more experience in Cryo, an excellent choice for setting up Elemental Reactions, and his ascension materials aren’t too difficult to come by.

Additionally, four-star characters in Cryo have become increasingly rare.

Let’s take a look at how he plays before we go any further.

His Normal Attacks are sluggish and underwhelming compared to five-star-level characters.

The Elemental Skill and Burst should always be the primary focus of Chongyun’s build.

Cryo is infused into Claymore, Polearm, and Sword weapons by this Elemental Skill, which creates an AoE field that delivers damage.

It’s a basic Cryo attack, but it’s quick and only uses a small amount of Energy. Sword, Claymore, and Polearm characters benefit from Chongyun’s passive ability “steady breathing,” which gives them an 8% normal attack speed boost.

Chongyun can be either a secondary DPS or a secondary DPS/Support hybrid.

Let’s examine both.

Chongyun sub DPS build

  1. Luxury Sealord (five stars) or Wolf’s Gravestone (five stars) (four-star)
  2. Blizzard Strayer and the two-part Gladiator’s Finale

Sub DPS Chongyun works like this: instead of using him for his normal attacks, cast Elemental Skills and Bursts as frequently as you can. F

or the Burst, the Elemental Skill sets up the Cryo field, which other teammates can use to activate Elemental Reactions. We’re hunting for weapons and artefacts that enhance Chongyun’s Cryo abilities, which scale with his attack power.

Choose the Wolf’s Gravestone as your five-star Claymore for Chongyun if you want to give him the greatest boost to his Attack Power.

This would be a wonderful alternative if you do not have a five-star Claymore but do possess a four-star Luxurious Sealord (yep, the frozen tuna weapon).

The Claymore’s passive ability can be triggered without using any Normal or Charged Attacks, thanks to the Claymore’s high Attack and Elemental Burst bonuses.

What if you don’t have access to them? Prototype Archaic is the best option for you then. Upon Normal and Charged Attack hits, it increases your Attack by a fair amount and deals additional damage.

The big advantage of this weapon is that you may manufacture it at a blacksmith station. This is less ideal for a sub DPS build.

There are two sets of relics that are the best for Chongyun, one of which is the two-piece Gladiators Finale and the other is Shimenawa’s Reminiscence (15 percent Cryo damage bonus).

In terms of sub-stats, the Sands of Eon slot can simply have an attack percentage while the Goblet of Eonothem slot can simply have a Cryo damage boost.

Critical Rate or Critical Damage can be placed in the Circlet of Logos slot. Critical Rate should be increased to at least 60%.

Chongyun hybrid DPS and support build

  1. Claymore: The Greatsword of Sacrifice (four-star)
  2. Nobility Oblige four-piece set

Our Chongyun sub DPS build won’t need much explanation, as it’s essentially the same. The Noblesse Oblige artefact set can help Chongyun’s allies by reducing his own damage taken.

Elemental Burst damage is increased by 20% for Chongyun and his friends, and they get 20% more Attack Power.

Chongyun’s Energy is critical in this build because the Burst cooldown stops when it does. The Sands of Eon artefact slot may benefit from an Energy Recharge stat.

In addition to the Sacrificial Greatsword, you can also use the Elemental Skill cooldown to recharge your Energy Recharge (which means more Cryo infusion and Normal Attack speed for your allies).

Best Chongyun team

genshin impact chongyun 2.4 Genshin Impact: Best Chongyun Build

Elemental Reactions is an important consideration if you’re looking for the greatest Chongyun team.

If you want to trigger Melt with Pyro, or freeze your enemies with Hydro, use Cryo infusion and Cryo attacks frequently.

Ideally, we’d have a five-star Pyro like Diluc or Hu Tao, or even four-star Pyros like Bennett and Xiangling. Mona, a five-star Hydro, is the best, although Xingqiu and Barbara, four-star Hydros, are also excellent.

Chongyun’s auntie, Shenhe, is the best teammate for him. Because she’s a five-star Adeptus disciple, finding her will take some good fortune.

You’ll gain an incredible boost to your Chongyn’s Cryo damage if you manage to capture her, though.

That’s all there is to know about how to make the best Gorou.
