FFXIV: How Do You Get The Auspicious Kamuy Mount?

The Auspicious Kamuy Mount is a very rare loot item from “The Jade Stoa (Extreme)”. This Mount may also be purchased from Eschina in Rhalgr’s Reach (X:14, Y:12) for 99 Byako Totems.

It has also been a reward for the Moogle Treasure Trove, however, the specifics of that reward are subject to change.

Since the mount is from Stormblood, your best bet is to run the fight unsynced while throwing up a PF.

You probably won’t have a hard time taking down this tiger, but having some allies around certainly won’t hurt.

In order to retrieve the Auspicious Kamuy Fife from your stock, you must first succeed in a Loot roll.

Unlocking The Four Lords

You need to complete a few optional objectives before you may engage in combat with Byakko and the Four Lords.

You must have reached the end of Stormblood Patch 4.2.

You need to complete the “Hope on the Waves” main quest. After that is done, go find Soroban (The Ruby Sea, X:6 Y:16).

Next, you should complete “An Auspicious Encounter,” which is a quest.

After that, he’ll tell you to meet him and Tataru outside Hell’s Lid in Ruby Sea.

It’s likely you already know this, but your next objective is to clear Hell’s Lid Dungeon, which is located at Dungeon Level 70. Simply log in to Duty Finder and brace yourself for the onslaught.

The Reisen Temple will be your final destination regardless of what you do.

The Auspices can point you in the direction of Yanxia, which is just beyond the House of the Fierce if you speak with them.

Your next mission will have you meeting With Byakko in The Jade Stoa.

You have completed your mission in Ruby Sea after you have vanquished your enemy and resumed communication with the Auspices.

The last thing to do is find The Wandering Minstrel (Kugane – Kogane-Dori Markets, X:12 Y:13).

Tell them about your encounter with Byakko to get access to “The Jade Stoa (Extreme).”

Get ready to start racking up kills for your Kamuy!

The Bounties of Byakko

Auspicious Kamuy Mount

Just like any other Extreme Trial, it helps to have some idea of the benefits that will come from completing it.

In pursuit of your Auspicious Kamuy, Byakko will also drop the following Spoils:

  1. Byakko Weaponry
  2. Byakko Weaponry Coffer (Can be used on a Job for a specific Weapon)
  3. Byakko Card (Triple Triad)
  4. Auspicious Kamuy Fife (Mount)
  5. Faded Copy of The Jade Stoa (Orchestrion Roll)
  6. Byakko’s Mane

The Weapons are of no use now, but they can be disassembled into more Byakko Manes.

Glamours, like weapons with special abilities, are made from Byakko Manes themselves.

One of the more interesting Glamour options, the inky swirl is visually striking.

These can be crafted alongside Enspirited Armaments.

  1. Byakko Barding (Chocobo Companion Glamour, pictured above)
  2. Byakko Cub (Minion)
  3. Byakko Sideboard (Indoor Furnishing)
  4. Byakko Throne (Indoor Furnishing)

Best of luck in your hunt!
