On Friday, the official website for the Dragon Ball franchise shared the exciting news that the world’s first-ever Dragon Ball theme park will be constructed by Saudi Arabia-based Qiddiya Investment Company.
The company released a concept video for the park, which is a key component of its “Qiddiya” giga project.
The park will cover an impressive area of 500,000 square meters and offer a wide variety of rides and attractions.
The company is excited to announce the upcoming addition of a thrilling 70-meter-high Shenron roller coaster, which will undoubtedly be the highlight of the park.
The park will showcase seven distinct areas that faithfully recreate beloved locales from the original series, including Kame House, Capsule Corporation, and Beerus’s Planet. Additionally, visitors can look forward to themed hotels and restaurants that perfectly complement the immersive experience.
The Dragon Ball Manga
The Dragon Ball manga by Akira Toriyama had a successful run from 1984 to 1995 and continues to be a source of inspiration for numerous manga and anime sequels and spinoffs even today.
The anime adaptation , along with its sequel Dragon Ball Z and its various sequels and films, have gained immense popularity, making its protagonist Goku a globally recognized character.
Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, passed away on March 1 from an acute subdural hematoma. He was 68 years old.
The Dragon Ball Super television anime series made its debut in July 2015 and concluded after 131 episodes in March 2018. The series was streamed by Funimation and Crunchyroll as it aired, and Funimation also made the series available on home video.
In June 2022, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero debuted in Japan, and in August that same year, it debuted in the United States.
The film was screened in theaters worldwide by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures.
The screenings offer a wide range of options for viewers, including the original Japanese audio with subtitles and a dubbed version. The film is available in 13 different dubbed languages and 29 subbed languages.
The highly anticipated anime series in the beloved franchise, Dragon Ball Daima, is set to make its debut in the fall of 2024.
