Diablo 4 Adds Pets, a Popular Feature of the Diablo Franchise
Players noticed the absence of pets, a popular feature from Diablo 3, with the release of Diablo 4. During the launch of Diablo 4, the General Manager, Rod Fergusson, stated that pets would “look out of place” in the gothic fantasy world of Diablo 4. This was in response to the fact that pets were not available.
A variety of non-combat pets were introduced to players in Diablo 3, including the Mime, which was a reference to the “Chest Monster,” a classic role-playing game trope, and the Friendly Gauntlet, which was a severed hand that was reminiscent of the Thing from the Addams Family.
The addition of pets to Diablo 4 has been met with a great deal of enthusiasm from players, as a significant number of them consider this feature to be among their favourites found within the Diablo franchise.
In addition, there have been suggestions made to enhance it, such as a “training system” that would allow players of Diablo 4 to teach their pets to interact with levers, sell items in town, and only pick up Legendary and Unique equipment.
With the addition of this feature from its predecessor, players are waiting to find out whether Diablo 4 will receive another popular feature from Diablo 3, which would enhance the gaming experience in yet another way.
