It has been revealed by Capcom that a new remastered version of the original Dead Rising game has been out.
The most recent installment of the Dead Rising series was released in 2016, which is almost a full decade ago.
Dead Rising 4 received mixed reviews, which most likely led to Capcom delaying the release of the action-packed zombie-killing franchise for an indefinite period of time.
This comes after several successful installments on Xbox 360, as well as Dead Rising 3 serving as a launch title for Xbox One.
When the original Dead Rising game was first released in 2006, it was only available on the Xbox 360.
However, ten years later, in the run-up to Dead Rising 4, an improved version of the game became available on all major platforms.
Since then, Resident Evil, Dead Rising’s sister zombie franchise, has received a great deal of attention from Capcom.
This attention has been shown in the form of a flurry of acclaimed and successful remakes of classic titles like Resident Evil 2 and 4, as well as new first-person mainline entries like Resident Evil Village.
With all of the success that Resident Evil has had over the past five years, it is easy to understand why its version, Dead Rising, which is lighter and more focused on action, has remained in the shadows for such a long time.
Eight years after the most recent installment of the franchise, Capcom has announced a current-gen remaster of the original game, which will be named Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.
The announcement was made through a brief trailer that was uploaded to YouTube and lasted for forty seconds.
The trailer showed the opening sequence of the game, which featured the protagonist of Dead Rising, Frank West, jumping off of a helicopter and heading towards a shopping mall that was infested with zombies.
It is a safe bet that the trailer will be released at some point later this year, despite the fact that it did not specify any platforms or a release date.
Capcom Reveals Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster
It would be nice for fans to be able to experience Dead Rising with even better performance and visuals, despite the fact that the game was already improved for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players in the year 2016.
Due to the fact that some of the Dead Rising sequels are more than ten years old, this raises the question of whether or not they will be receiving the remaster treatment in the near future.
Having said that, chances of Resident Evil-style ground-up remakes of these games are slim because Capcom appears to be taking a remaster approach to Dead Rising, at least for the original game.
Working on remakes for two different zombie franchises could potentially make things more complicated for Capcom, which is likely to place a greater emphasis on the success of Resident Evil remakes.
As a result, the possibilities for Dead Rising 5 are still very much alive and well.
A multitude of remasters and remakes that have been well received and interesting have already been released in the year 2024.
Games like Persona 3 Reload, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Braid: Anniversary Edition, and Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster have made gamers happy and introduced new fans to these well-known works of art.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will join a number of other Xbox 360-era remasters like Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, Lollipop Chainsaw: RePOP, and Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered if it is released this year.
