Chainsaw Man Release Date

On the 14th of December in 2020 the announcement was made that manga will be receiving an adaptation for a television show created by MAPPA.
The series premiered at the Jump Festa’21 festival within the Jump Studio series of stage shows, which was held on the web between the 19th and 20th of December 2020.
A trailer to debut the new anime was presented at the MAPPA Stage 2021 10th Anniversary celebration on June 27, 2021.
The series was written by Ryu Nakayama (director) and Makoto Nakazono (chief episode director) with scripts written by Hiroshi Seko Character designs created by Kazutaka Sugiyama and devil designs created by Kiyotaka Oshiyama.
Tatsuya Yoshihara acts as the action director and Yusuke Takeda as the graphic director. Naomi Nakano is the color key artist, and Yohei Miyahara creates the screens. The music was written by Kensuke Ushio.
We have the following information that we have regarding this first episode of the animated series. The exact release date has not been announced however an additional trailer being made public in 2021 December.
Initial speculation suggested that the anime would be released in the Fall 2021 season, however, it hasn’t been confirmed therefore we have to keep waiting to hear about a date for the release, and this second trailer (see below) showed that the show will indeed debut in 2022 like we initially thought.

Chainsaw Man Plot

The first volume of the manga came out between 2018 and 2020 and a follow-up has been revealed. It’s unclear what percentage of the manga that the first Season of Chainsaw Man will change, but we’ll give readers an outline of the entire story so that you can be aware of what to expect on an overall scale.

Denji is a young man sucked into the poverty of his life, and tries to pay off his dead father’s debts to the Yakuza through his work as an esoteric hunter with the assistance of his dog companion Pochita, also known as the Chainsaw Demon.
Denji is snubbed by the Yakuza, who executes Denji in exchange for a deal with Pochita, the Zombie Demon. Pochita agrees to a deal with Denji to merge with Denji and revive him as an anthropomorphic demon, under the requirement that Denji is living the ability to live a “normal life.”
Denji is killed by the Yakuza and is then approached by a group of demon hunters from the government known as the Public Security Division, led by Makima who convinces him to join the ranks of the Public Security Division.
Denji accepts and joins forces with Power, the Blood Demon, and Aki Hayakawa who is a self-destructing demon hunter. Makima will promise Denji any favors as long as he can kill the Weapon Demon as the perpetrator of the most horrific human massacre.
The group of Denji’s encounters a different hybrid that is The Katana Man, a vengeful Yakuza who appears to be allied together with Demon Weapon and who takes out a substantial part of Division with the assistance of his master, who was an ex-civil demon hunter contracted with the Katana Man.
Serpent demon, Akane Sawatari. Denji along with Power are taught by Kishibe, the master demon hunter who is distrustful of Makima. Aki is able to negotiate in the name of Demon from the Future, who foresees a “horrible death” for him.
The Division initiates a counterattack against Katana Man or Sawatari ultimately capturing both. A few days later, Denji begins an affair with an unknown girl named Reze who could be Bomb Woman, a hybrid spy from the Soviet Union, sent to take him, prisoner. Even though she is a lover, however, she attacks the city and the Division is unable to save Denji.
After recuperating, Denji fights with her and agrees for them to depart Japan together. But before they get together, Makima secretly captures her.
Denji’s struggle against Bomb Woman reveals his existence to the world. The Division discovers that four groups of assassins are pursuing Denji The four groups include one group is the Chinese monster hunter Quanxi and a mysterious enemy of Makima called “Santa Claus”; three American brothers, and a Russian woman who is a teacher for her student Tolka.
Denji has security features. While the brothers are dispelled from the area, and Quanxi initially stops, Santa Claus uses his Demon Doll powers for a massive horde assault.
Following a follow-up by Quanxi her teacher, Tolka’s teacher divulges her to be the real “Santa Claus,” and sends everyone to Hell and they are slain in the form of The Demon of Darkness.
Santa Claus makes a contract with the devil of darkness. Makima saves the entire group from the abyss. Quanxi is revealed to be a hybrid, which assists Denji to beat Santa Claus.
After Denji recuperates, Makima reveals that the Weapon Demon is actually a geopolitical asset, with several factions controlling portions of it.
When Aki asks Makima for the safety of Denji As Denji’s safety is in danger, the president of the United States orders the Weapon Demon to strike Japan.
It is revealed to be the Demon Of Control, Makima faces off against the Weapon Demon and triumphs. Aki dies in the battle while the Weapon Demon can take over his body and transform into the Demon.
Denji is assaulted with a Gun Fiend and, assisted by civilians, he is killed and Aki’s demise is devastating to the victim.
As if to comfort the victim, Makima kills Power, admitting to being the one responsible for Denji’s loss and arranging to cancel his agreement with Pochita by snatching his hopes of normal existence.
Kishibe confronts her, assisted by the demon in hell, and calls for “Chainsaw Man” to save her.
In control of Denji’s body, Pochita assumes his true form and then attacks the demon.
Makima clarifies his objectives that include using the power of Pochita to remove concepts from existence by eating the demons of their respective incarnations to create a new world that is free of pain or fear; to attain this goal her government has given her immortality.
In the battle against Chainsaw Man using the brainwashed hybrids, she triumphs because Denji’s heroic actions have reduced Pochita.
Power is rebuilt from a trace of her blood, which is sucked away by Chainsaw Man. Chainsaw Man and, mortally wounded, restores Denji’s desire to live.
This makes the promise that he’ll locate her when he’s born again in Hell. With the support of the public for Denji, Denji faces Makima and defeat.
To prevent her from becoming immortal, she eats her own body.
Kishibe later discloses that Makima was extinct and the demon that controlled her Demon returned as a girl now named Nayuta. Nayuta requests Denji to care for her and Pochita reiterates her mission in Denji’s fantasies.

You can’t currently view Chainsaw Man anywhere as the show isn’t out yet and we’re not aware of the date of the official release for the film.
Based on the way anime works, you’ll likely be able to stream the show and/or watch it through Crunchyroll within the West (possibly even in other countries in the event that some of the platforms acquires the show) however, for Japan it will be necessary to wait and see which television station will air the show.
