Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Fans Make Rust-Free Rust Map

A few players who are fans of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 have modified the Rust map so that it now features metal that is free of rust.

A few gamers had a better idea for the Rust location in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which has evolved through regular updates and many maps to move between.

Over a dozen maps from Modern Warfare 2 (2009) were updated in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which was released a few months ago.

Movement, which has undergone significant changes since the 2009 title, has been the focus of a lot of the game’s modernization.

Even though it was met with a variety of reactions when it was first released, the community was pleased to see that some of the most well-known locations had been brought back.

Several significant locations from the history of Call of Duty, including Rust, have been made available to a new audience of gamers thanks to the enhancements made to the graphics and gameplay.

One player in the game came up with the idea of removing the rust from the metal objects in Rust, and as a result, the map now appears to look a lot different than it did when it was first released.

A user by the name of Fo3Jay on Reddit recently shared four screenshots of the Rust map from Modern Warfare 3, which has all of the rust removed.

Players who are looking to hide from snipers can take cover in the metal shipping containers that surround the central oil rig in Rust, which is a well-known feature of the game.

A brightness that is comparable to that of the Modern Warfare 3 Sling Bag camouflage is achieved by the de-rusted Rust map because all of the metal in the map is so shiny that it reflects light.

The first screenshot is of an altered loading screen for Rust, and the second screenshot depicts the oil rig from the side, with the player facing a petrol tank that is directing a beam of light in their direction.

With concrete barriers serving as a point of comparison with the original location, the final image focuses on the majority of the map from a distant point of view, demonstrating how much metal has been de-rusted for the purpose of this concept.

How Did These Modern Warfare 3 Fans Change Rust?

The Rust map in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was reportedly modified with the assistance of a few friends who are also 3D artists, as stated by Fo3Jay.

It has been referred to as Chrome by some gamers rather than Rust due to the fact that the metal that is used in oil rigs is typically not as shiny as this de-rusted map.

It is important to note that the player does not focus their attention on any of the smaller objects, despite the fact that the images contain a sniper rifle.

A significant portion of the map is depicted in the photographs; however, certain regions, most notably the lower level of the oil rig, are not demonstrated.

This may have been a lost opportunity that could have been made up for by providing a video tour of the de-rusted Rust.

More maps may be added in upcoming seasons as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 continues to receive updates. It is possible that this version of Rust will be a novel approach to reimagining the well-known location, given that previous games have provided seasonal variations of maps such as Shipment and Nuketown 84.
