Bleach, the masterpiece from Tite Kubo, will be returning after eight years, with season 17. The show will be adapted to an arc called the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, which could be the finale of the series.
Despite its huge popularity, “Bleach anime” got canceled in 2012. The series was canceled after the Fullbring arc but without a definitive conclusion. The manga continued to run with the final episode, which officially ended in August of 2016.

Bleach Season 17 An Official Announcement

Plot/Storyline
Bleach season 17 is set to begin with the much-anticipated “Thousand Year Blood Battle.” The episode is part of the final arc of the manga, which begins with Chapter 480 and runs through Chapter 480 to 55-74.
In the wake of the sudden departure of Hollow, Ichigo chaos erupts. The secret group that is the Wanderich’s will launch their assault against the Soul Society resulting in an all-out conflict between the Shinigami and Quincy.
The Wandenreich meaning “The Invisible Empire,” is a secret organization of Quincy. It was a thousand years ago that the Quincy lost the war against the Shinigami and, in the aftermath, they escaped and set up an underground location.
They’ve been wasting their time and slowly building their forces in order to be victorious in the war they have lost.
The reason behind Hollow Ichigo’s disappearance can be attributed to the intense training he is required to go through. Thus, he has the ability to take on Wandenreich and help save his Soul Society.
New Characters
Together with the other characters from Bleach, the upcoming season will bring many new characters, however, Yhwach will be the one most notable of them all.
Yhwach
Yhwach was one of the villains in the entire season. He is known as the “Father of the Quincy” as well as the emperor of Wandenreich.
The Soul King’s son is named after him who is absorbed by the Soul King and gains the appearance of a dark eye mask over the top of his head.
Bleach Season 17 Episode The Count
The Bleach series has not seen a consistent number of episodes during the previous seasons. This is why it had the lowest number of episodes in season 11, which was seven episodes, and then there are 50 episodes in season 14.
Therefore, the next season’s episodes count will likely vary within these ranges.
Should Bleach’s season 17 be able to adapt the entire arc that is approximately 218 chapters, then it could have at minimum 50 episodes.
