This is a really great anime series and what makes it so great you ask? Hunter x Hunter Characters! it is one of my personal favorite series of all time.
Ever-changing narrative with hundreds of well-realized and interesting characters and spanning of multiple arcs and genres.
From sociopaths clowns to killer assassins and every cute or noble person in between, But I am going to share my best hunter x hunter characters in this list.
Let’s begin the list of Best Hunter x Hunter Characters of all time.
21. Zeno Zoldyck
Zeno Zoldyck might be old, but that’s not stopping Zoldyck from being one of the most deadly assassins in Hunter and Hunter. His physical strength is way beyond his age.
In addition, Zeno’s speed and ability to fight were enough to make him Chrollo Lucifer the head in the Phantom Troupe on the defense.
As a Transmuter alters the shape of his Nen aura and alters its form to create dragon-like structures. Although it’s primarily an offensive weapon, Zeno also uses this technique to move himself and others over vast distances.
Through the Dragon Dive technique, he can create hundreds of aura dragons that rain down like meteors, causing widespread destruction. Overall good for an old man.
20. Gon Freecss
Gon is a Hunter x Hunter Characters who is athletic, rustic, and friendly boy who is searching for adventure. Also, he is not very good at math.
However, having spent a lot of time in the woods as a child, he is very good with animals. Gon is an Enhancer, who are known for being simple-minded and determined.
This determination and talent lead to both potential allies and potential enemies trusting in him and taking his side.
19. Leorio Paradinight
Leorio is a Hunter x Hunter Characters and initially introduced as a very selfish narcissist who places great emphasis on material wealth. Despite his assertions that he is only after money, he eventually reveals to Kurapika that his dream is to one day become a doctor in order to help the poor.
He believes that all things in the world (lives, dreams, etc.) can be bought and that becoming a Hunter will provide him with the necessary funds for his medical education.
Due to his first spat with Kurapika, as well as the test on the way to the navigator’s cabin, it seems that he has a sensitivity for those who do not take him seriously or treat him with disrespect.
18. Alluka Zoldyck
Before Alluka’s formal introduction as a Hunter x Hunter Characters, Silva refers to her as a dark and uncontrollable child.
He claims that Alluka has no soul because of the circumstances of her birth, and cannot feel emotions.
However, once reunited with her closest brother Killua, Alluka displays an affectionate, simple, and lovable personality.
Alluka is usually very happy around Killua and trusts him deeply, likely because he was the only one to show her compassion.
17. Chrollo Lucilfer
Chrollo Lucilfer is a Hunter x Hunter Characters who is calm, cool, intelligent, and charismatic, as he seems to be a born leader and able to hold the Phantom Troupe together despite the volatile personalities of its members.
While he is a very capable strategist, Chrollo is also very confident in his own fighting abilities as well as in the other members of the Spider.
He always has at least two people with him, which is why Hisoka was unable to fight him.
16. Ging Freecss
Ging has a shy and stubborn personality, to the point that he only wants Gon to meet him alone and claims that it would be cowardly of Gon to bring a friend to meet him, causing one of his friends to wonder if he is afraid of crowds.
Judging by his actions at the New Hunter Chairman Election to ensure Netero’s will be carried out, he seems to respect the late Chairman considerably.
Ging is also rather volatile, yet extremely intelligent. In spite of his ability to make flawless plans years in advance, he occasionally acts without knowing why, surprising even himself.
15. Jed
After seeing his comrades’ death at the hand of Netero and seeing so many hardships on earth because of the Hunters, Jed was consumed by his hate toward the Hunters and believed strongly that all Hunters are evil.
His hate was so strong that it revived him after his death at the hand of Netero.
Despite being consumed with hate, Jed was shown to care about his comrades as when he felt the death of Gaki, he cried and vowed that he wouldn’t let it be in vain.
14. Feitan Photos
Feitan is the Phantom Troupe’s interrogator, being very proficient in the art of torture.
His speech usually consists of few words and poor grammar; when angered, he speaks a language of unknown origin, different from the common language of the world.
He is cold-natured but very loyal to Chrollo Lucilfer and the Phantom Troupe as a whole.
13. Shaiapouf
Shaiapouf posited himself as the calmest and rational of the three Royal Guards, often speaking about the importance of logic and reasoning, more than his emotions.
However, his intense devotion to the Chimera Ant King clouded his judgment. He held a preconceived absolute ideal to live up to, with no room for amendment.
Pouf also held the King to a similarly impossible ideal, manifesting in mad fanatical monologues and treacherous action when it appeared that his lord was being led astray.
12. Komugi
Komugi is a Hunter x Hunter Characters who was rather childish, clumsy and simple-minded, with a tendency to speak too much. Her manner of speaking was informal and ungrammatical. She lacked common knowledge at times, yet was brilliant in Gungi, and enjoyed the game immensely.
She tended to constantly talk herself down but was friendly and polite towards others. When she was attacked by a hawk, she refrained from calling for help for fear of inconveniencing others.
Furthermore, in order not to become a burden for her family, she resolved to commit suicide should she ever lose a game.
11. Basho
Basho has a casual attitude and is rather outgoing and talkative. He also has some sense of humor, laughing off Kurapika’s brutal request to never speak to him again.
Although he is confident in himself, he can understand when he has no way of winning a confrontation. He believes that life should be lived to the fullest.
However, he does not criticize Kurapika’s willingness to forfeit his life for his cause, even if he does not agree with it. He has a habit of whistling when he is impressed.
10. Kite
Kite is stern and stoic, occasionally blunt to the point of appearing rude. Although some may regard them as cold-hearted, they are actually caring, fond of animals as they are of people.
However, they never hesitate, not even when they must take a life, as little as they like it: in fact, after saving Gon, they punched him because his ignorance led to the death of a Foxbear.
During his initial introduction as Meruem’s sibling, Kite was an enthusiastic child, still playing with stuffed toys and swords, and still being watched over by Colt.
9. Neferpitou
Neferpitou was very loyal to the King and would sacrifice themself for him.
Of the three Royal Guards, Pitou was the most curious and would get distracted easily and loved to play, and according to Shaiapouf, would get carried away when having fun.
Pitou was a cat Chimera Ant, and like a cat, loved to play with their opponents like a cat would with their prey.
8. Illumi Zoldyck
Illumi, for the most part, displays very little expression. In contrast to his expressionless demeanor, Illumi often speaks in a somewhat joyful and absent-minded tone.
He is generally a stony, ruthless person with an extremely cold way of thinking and reflects solely on his own interests.
Still, he holds a twisted and overprotective form of love for his younger brother, Killua; this manifests to the point that he used his Nen ability to control Killua in order to ensure his survival and obedience.
7. Kurapika
Kurapika is a Hunter x Hunter Characters who is cool and intelligent individual, possessing vast knowledge. He is reticent; not one to open up to people easily and quite judgmental.
His distance from others initially keeps him level-headed and moralistic, but his heart has been poisoned with sadness and hatred.
Having been traumatized from losing everyone he loved at the age of twelve, Kurapika closes his heart to new people and remains introverted as to stay focused on his goal.
6. Isaac Netero
Netero was energetic, playful to the point of being mischievous, and, at times, seemingly absentminded.
Although he was capable of acting professionally when called to intervene as Chairman of the Hunter Association, on all other occasions he proved himself to be so extravagant he was sometimes called insane.
There were clear discrepancies between his words and his thoughts during the 287th Hunter Exam.
5. Botobai Gigante
Botobai is a collected man who is fiercely loyal to Netero. He rarely loses his temper, with the exception when Pariston proposed the idea of himself becoming the new Chairman without an election.
When he was arguing against his fellow Zodiac whom Botobai accused of prioritizing his political affiliation before the former Chairman’s request.
He favors cooperation among the Zodiacs for the success of the mission, even if it means revealing his abilities.
4. Tsezguerra
Tsezguerra is a very straight-forward yet also prudent thinker. He only takes challenges that he is capable of fulfilling. He also looks down on people who he thinks is inferior to his strength and or abilities.
Notably, when Tsezguerra was surpassed by Gon and Killua in a test of his Nen skills, he is left flabbergasted by the boys’ progress and lies by saying that they failed to beat his personal record.
During the dodgeball match with Razor, following his defeat by one of Razor’s spikes, he considers that his senses have dulled over time, making him weaker.
3. Hisoka Morow
Hisoka is portrayed as entirely self-serving, self-absorbed, and selfish; he does whatever he likes as long as it pleases him in some way.
His insatiable love for spilling the blood of powerful fighters in combat and his enjoyment of extreme pain while doing so fuels his seemingly sadomasochistic desires.
In order for them to grow to their full potential Hisoka allows the main protagonists to live in situations wherein he is easily able to kill them.
2. Killua Zoldyck
Killua is introduced as a character who appears similar to Gon: cheeky, cheerful, and full of mischievous ideas.
However, contrasting Gon’s politeness, Killua can be quite rude to others, mostly strangers and older people.
He is most commonly known for having a sweet tooth; he loves everything sweet and spent almost Jenny Symbol 2011.
200 million on snacks when he was at the Heavens Arena. His favorite snack is chocolate, specifically Chocolate Balls
1. Meruem
Meruem was initially a cruel and violent leader. The Queen’s intention to give birth to a perfect offspring was reflected in Meruem’s haughty mentality.
He considered himself superior to all other forms of life and felt no concern for his dying mother after his birth. Meruem was merciless, killing and cannibalizing any Chimera Ant he deemed to be disrespectful.
Although he still held respect towards the strong, complimenting Neferpitou for emerging relatively unscathed from an attack that had killed many.
