When a player reaches a specific adventure rank (specifically AR 25, 35, 45, and 50), ascension quests become available for them to complete.
If the player is successful in completing them, they will be able to go to higher world levels and earn further Adventure Ranks.
The primary purpose of these is to determine whether or not your characters’ builds are robust enough to take on enemies of a higher level and in a more difficult environment.
These world levels feature a rise in the difficulty of overworld fighting as well as an increase in the drop rate of mobs, bosses, and ley line outcrops; as a result, farming for materials is slightly accelerated at these world levels.
This increase in drop rates is certainly something to be thankful about.
Additionally, you will inevitably climb while playing the game, which is another reason why ascension objectives are so important to complete.
In addition, if you are able to complete ascension tasks, this should indicate that you are prepared to go on to higher world levels.
There is also the option for you to drop down one level in the world if you decide that you would be happier staying at a lower level.
To accomplish this, either enter the Paimon menu or click the ESC key, and then press the I icon that is located next to your current world level.
The prompt that you see above will appear; all you need to do is press the button labeled “Lower World Level.”
This has the effect of lowering your world level, as well as the difficulty of the overworld battle and the drop rates. In addition to that, it will permit players of a lesser level to enter your realm.
In addition, you will still have the opportunity to advance into higher Adventure Ranks before beginning the subsequent ascension quest.
What Repercussions Will There Be If I Do Not Complete My Ascension Quest?
You will still earn Experience Points (EXP) for your Adventure Rank, but you won’t be able to advance to the next rank.
Instead, your AR EXP will stack up and overlap on the progress bar that you currently have.
There is no cap on the number of extra experience points that you can accumulate, so don’t be concerned. After you have finished the ascension quest, it will carry over into the next one.
After completing an ascension quest and gaining a significant amount of Adventure Rank experience, it is certainly not impossible to advance through a few Adventure Ranks.
