Kiyotaka Ayanokouji is a student of Class D, in which the college dumps its worst. There he meets with the unsociable Suzune Horikita, who thinks that she was put in Class Steel by error and wants to climb all of the way to Class A, and also the apparently amicable course idol Kikyou Kushida, whose purpose is to create as many friends as you can.
The pupils enjoy an unparalleled quantity of liberty, and it’s rated highly in Japan. However, the fact is less than perfect. Four courses, A through D, are rated in order of merit, and just the top courses get favorable treatment.
While course membership is permanent, course rankings aren’t; pupils in lower rated classes can grow in positions if they score greater than people in the very best ones.
In addition, in Class D, there aren’t any pubs on which methods may be utilized to get forward. In this cutthroat college, can they prevail against the odds and get to the top?
