Magical DoReMi’s 25th Anniversary Video Teaser out

The staff of the Magical DoReMi (Ojamajo Doremi) magical girl anime presented a video to celebrate its 25th anniversary at AnimeJapan 2024.

The video showcases charming animated scenes of the main characters as they mature.

Junichi Satō, the director of the original anime, took charge of storyboarding the new video, while Tatsuya Nagamine, an episode director on the original anime, directed the video.

Yoshihiko Umakoshi happily returned to design the characters and took on the role of animation director for the video.

Sho from YZ Entertainment is responsible for the choreography.

The video debut for the 25th anniversary of the magical girl anime was announced on January 19th on the official website.

The initial release of the Ojamajo Doremi anime series took place in Japan back in 1999, while 4Kids introduced a modified version of the show in the United States in 2005, titled Magical DoReMi.

The franchise marked its 20th anniversary in 2019 with “Ojamajo Doremi 20-shūnen Carnival” (Ojamajo Doremi 20th Anniversary Carnival), a special event that took place at the Tokyo International Forum Hall C.

The event included a concert, a stage reading, a live drawing event, and a talk show with the anime’s voice actresses and staff.

Searching for Magical DoReMi (Majo Minarai o Sagashite), the anime film celebrating the 20th anniversary of Ojamajo Doremi, was released in 2020 after a slight delay.

It was honored with the Best Animation Film award at the 75th Mainichi Film Awards in 2021.
